Apple is expected to reveal its new iPhone 16 family in approximately six weeks.
We have heard different reports about their battery life, but none are as thrilling as the latest one. Instant Digital, a China-based leaker with over 1.4 million followers on microblog Weibo, predicts that Apple will shock us with a significant boost in battery life for a particular model in the lineup: the iPhone 16 Pro. Although other models will also see an increase in battery capacity, it appears that the smaller 16 Pro model will receive the most substantial upgrade.
The iPhone 15 Pro, with a 6.1-inch display, features a 3,274mAh battery, while the newer and larger iPhone 16 Pro, with a 6.3-inch display, is rumored to come with a 3,577mAh battery, which is 9% bigger.
The upcoming iPhone 16 Pro Max model is expected to feature a 4,676mAh battery, which is almost 6% larger than the battery in the current 15 Pro Max version.

If all of these predictions prove accurate, Apple could potentially widen the gap between the Pro and regular models, particularly between the Pro Max and Plus versions.

If you have been keeping up with the iPhone 16 developments, you may recall that in April, some reports on social media indicated that the iPhone 16 Pro would come with a 3,355mAh battery, which is significantly smaller than the current size. Therefore, these updated figures come as a pleasant surprise.
The battery size rumor for the iPhone 16 Pro Max remains consistent between the April report and the latest one.
Furthermore, it has been reported that both the iPhone 16 Pro and 16 Pro Max will utilize a new stacked battery technology that offers increased energy density and extended lifespan.
There is a possibility that we will soon have a small iPhone with excellent battery performance.
In addition to that, it is rumored that the new Pro iPhones will have improved wired and wireless charging capabilities. Reports suggest they may be able to accommodate 40W wired charging speeds (an increase from the current 25W) and 20W wireless charging speeds (up from 15W).
