Galaxy S25 to Use Snapdragon, Fold7/Flip7 Get Exynos 2500

There has been considerable discussion over the past few months about the chipset(s) that will power Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy S25 family, which is expected to launch in January. Initially, it was suggested that the series would exclusively feature Exynos chips, but two separate reports later indicated that Snapdragon would be used universally.

Now, a new rumor from South Korea supports the idea that Snapdragon will indeed be the chosen chipset. Allegedly, the Galaxy S25, Galaxy S25+, and Galaxy S25 Ultra will all utilize Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 globally. This decision has reportedly been made to “maximize the performance” of the S25 series.

Galaxy S25 to Use Snapdragon, Fold7/Flip7 Get Exynos 2500

The Exynos 2500 will be utilized in the Galaxy Z Fold7 and Galaxy Z Flip7, which are set to launch in the second half of next year.

This is an intriguing development, as previous foldable models have primarily depended on Snapdragon processors. According to the report, Samsung will have the opportunity to enhance the yield of the 2500 and stabilize its performance before the devices are released.
