It seems that Google Photos is developing a feature that is similar to what is found on Instagram. The app already has many advanced AI features such as Magic Editor, Eraser, Photo Unblur, and more. Additionally, users can secure private media and utilize a search function.

Google Photos enables the sharing of photos with friends and family through shareable albums, allowing for collaboration among users.

A new feature called My Week has been revealed. Initially thought to be linked to Google Photos’ memories feature, it appears to function more like a social media story, with a smaller audience.

By working together, Reverse engineer, tipster Assemble Debug, and Android Authority were able to enable the partially functional My Week feature.

We do not know when My Week will go live, but when it does, it will appear as a tile on the top left of the Google Photos app with your avatar and a “+” button. By tapping on it, you will be guided to set it up and select photos that represent your recent experiences.

After it is set up, you will have the ability to invite other Google Photos users to view it. The content will be displayed in a vertical format like Instagram Stories, and users can interact by liking and commenting on it.

It’s a nice little feature in Google Photos, particularly for those who enjoy sharing with loved ones through the app. The official launch date is unknown, but it does seem quite impressive beforehand.
