After months of teasers, HMD has finally unveiled its Barbie-themed flip phone. The device is essentially a more glamorous version of the Nokia 2660 Flip, but it includes various software enhancements along with a significant design overhaul.
As you would anticipate from the collaboration with Mattel, pink is a prominent theme. The phone includes a pink removable 1,450 mAh battery, a pink USB-C cable, a color-coordinated polishing cloth, and several additional accessories. Among these are two interchangeable back covers, a beaded phone strap, attachable phone charms, and Barbie stickers.

The HMD Barbie Phone boasts a 2.8-inch main display and a 1.77-inch cover display. It is powered by a Unisoc T107 chipset, featuring 64MB of RAM and 128MB of internal storage, which can be expanded up to 32GB through a microSD card slot.
Additionally, it includes a single VGA (0.3MP) camera, Bluetooth 5 connectivity, a headphone jack, and a USB-C port for both charging and data transfer.

The software aspect is managed by the S30+ operating system in most regions, although the US variant will operate on KaiOS. HMD has enhanced the phone’s user interface with unique Barbie icons, wallpapers, and ringtones. Additionally, the Barbie phone includes a digital well-being tip, a Barbie Meditation app, and reminders for self-care. The HMD Barbie Phone is priced at $129/€129/£99 and can be purchased today in many regions around the world, although the US version will be available starting in October.
