Honor is preparing for the release of an intriguing, affordable 5G phone.

Honor has been receiving a lot of attention in recent months, indicating that the Chinese smartphone manufacturer has been very active in the market. While the Magic V Flip is a standout flip foldable phone, the 200 series phones from Honor are also highly competitive, particularly in Europe where prices are typically higher. Our focus today will be on a more affordable Honor phone set to debut in China, with a strong likelihood for availability in other markets where Honor operates.

The Honor Play 60 Plus, a budget-friendly smartphone, was recently discovered on the China Telecom site and also appeared on the 3C certification website, indicating that Honor will likely be unveiling the phone soon.

The good news is that, thanks to these listings, we now have information not only on the phone’s appearance but also on most of its important specifications. For example, the Honor Play 60 Plus will come with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 processor, which is made specifically for affordable 5G phones.

Additionally, the phone features a larger 6.77-inch LCD HD+ display with a 120Hz refresh rate and a punch hole for the 5-megapixel selfie camera. On the back, there is a dual camera setup including a 50-megapixel main sensor and a 2-megapixel macro camera.

The Honor Play 60 Plus comes with 12GB of RAM and either 256GB or 512GB of internal storage, which is unusually high for a budget-friendly smartphone. Additionally, the device is equipped with a large 6,000 mAh battery that supports 35W wired charging.

However, there is more to come! Honor’s Play 60 Plus will be released in China in three different colors: Phantom Black, Wonderland Green, and Moonlight White. According to China Telecom’s website, the phone is expected to be priced at approximately CNY 1,500, equivalent to around $205 / €195.
