Just the other day, we informed you about the potential launch of an ultra-thin smartphone from Infinix, measuring under 6 mm. However, the Chinese brand is also focused on another project: the release of its first-ever foldable device.
This device is reportedly named the Infinix Zero Flip. While there hasn’t been any official confirmation from Infinix yet, a Pakistani retailer, Chugtai Mobile, has shared what appears to be an official teaser image (shown above).
The image displays the complete design of the Infinix clamshell phone and highlights several key features.
The retailer’s teaser confirms the name “Zero Flip” and showcases a black version of the device, emphasizing its hinge design, although it does not provide comprehensive details about the phone’s specifications. Additionally, the image from Chugtai Mobile indicates that the Zero Flip will also be available in a Violet Garden color, similar to the Infinix Zero 40 5G.

The banner also indicates that the Infinix Zero Flip will come equipped with a 3.64-inch cover OLED screen featuring a 120Hz refresh rate, which will be protected by Gorilla Glass. It will utilize a “zero-gap hinge” designed to minimize creases on the foldable display. Personally, I’m eager to see how the “zero-gap hinge” performs in practice. Aimed at vloggers, the Zero Flip will enable users to capture 4K videos using both the front and rear cameras and will incorporate GoPro-style features, which I’m also interested in exploring.
The design seems to include a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, while the bottom edge will accommodate a SIM slot, microphone, USB-C port, and speaker grille.
The left side appears to be clear, and the top seems to feature a secondary microphone. Overall, reports suggest that the phone will measure 170 x 73.4 x 7.64 mm when unfolded and may be equipped with either a 4,700mAh or 4,720mAh battery, supporting 70W fast charging. It is anticipated to be powered by the Dimensity 8020 chipset, with 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage.
While it may not be a standout flagship, the reality is that we don’t exclusively need high-end foldables. Many individuals are open to trying foldable, but they are not willing to pay the current high prices.

For instance, the Galaxy Z Flip 6 (12/256 GB) is priced at $1,099 and €1,199 in Europe. I understand that Samsung enjoys immense popularity globally and is the preferred brand for millions. Nevertheless, foldable phones currently feel more like a technological novelty, and most consumers—aside from those who purchase them for the sake of showing off—are reluctant to spend a thousand dollars just to determine if a flip phone is comfortable enough.
This is why I personally appreciate the more modest hardware specifications of the Infinix Zero Flip; they should ideally come with a correspondingly lower price.
However, if you’re inclined to invest a significant amount in the Galaxy Z Flip 6, feel free. It features a refined hinge and a nearly invisible crease (in contrast to the Galaxy Z Flip 5), along with enhanced durability and aesthetics. It is available in stylish colors like Silver Shadow and Mint, boasting a contemporary flat-edge design.

The main camera is quite good, equipped with a 50 MP sensor that enhances photo quality and low-light performance, along with a 12 MP ultra-wide lens and a versatile 10 MP selfie camera. Inside, it houses the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 with 12GB of RAM, which ensures smooth performance and surpasses benchmarks compared to its predecessor and even the Galaxy S24 in some tests.
The display is a stunning 6.7-inch AMOLED, featuring improved durability and increased brightness compared to the Flip 5, along with a 3.4-inch external display that offers additional features like Auto Zoom. The battery capacity is not particularly impressive at 4,000mAh, but it should suffice for a full day of use. It supports 25W fast charging, which is disappointing, but that’s just how it is.
