Lava Yuva Star announced for new smartphone buyers

Lava has introduced a new member to its Yuva series, the Lava Yuva Star. This smartphone is designed for people buying a smartphone for the first time and features Unisoc’s 9863A SoC, 4GB RAM, 64GB storage, and Android 14 Go without any pre-installed third-party applications.

The Lava Yuva Star features a 6.75″ HD+ LCD display with a notch for the 5MP front camera.

It also has a dual camera system on the back, with a 13MP main camera and another unspecified camera that is likely an auxiliary unit. Lava has not disclosed any details about the second camera.

Powering the entire package is a 5,000 mAh battery that can charge through a USB-C port at speeds of up to 10W.

Additionally, the smartphone includes a side-mounted fingerprint scanner for biometric authentication.

The Lava Yuva Star is available in white, black, and lavender colors and is priced at INR6,499 ($80/€70).

It can be purchased in India at retail outlets, and Lava is providing free home service to Yuva Star users across the country.
