Meet Nubia’s Red Magic Nova Gaming Tablet

As anticipated, Nubia has introduced a new addition to its Red Magic series: the Nova. Unlike previous models in the lineup, this device is a tablet designed to serve as a laptop replacement for gaming on the move.

Interestingly, there is only one size available for the Red Magic Nova in China, contrary to earlier rumors suggesting two versions. Chinese consumers will receive the 10.9-inch model, which is equipped with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 Leading Version processor.

Nubia claims that the Red Magic Nova has achieved an impressive AnTuTu score of 2,352,902, ranking among the highest in the benchmark’s history. The tablet features a 10.9-inch 2.8K display with a 144Hz refresh rate and an instantaneous sampling rate of 840Hz.

To ensure optimal cooling during extended gaming sessions,

Nubia has incorporated a 20,000 RPM internal fan, a 3D heat pipe, and 3D internal circulation air ducts. Furthermore, the tablet’s design includes a 29,400mm under-screen dissipation alloy, 9,268 superconducting copper foil, an 89,114mm integrated aviation aluminum body, and thermal conductive gel.

The Red Magic Nova features an impressive 10,100 mAh battery and supports 120W fast charging. It operates on Red Magic OS 9.5, which is built on Android 14, and incorporates the company’s Cube AI technology designed to enhance gaming through AI triggers, audio-visual enhancements, smart navigation, and customizable controls.

Additionally, the tablet is compatible with many popular controllers and allows streaming from various platforms, including Steam, Epic Games,

PlayStation, and Xbox. Currently, the Red Magic Nova tablet is available for purchase in China, and details regarding the international version will be revealed on September 27.

The device comes in three memory configurations and two color options, including a 12/256GB model in Cyclone and Snowfall for CNY 3999 ($565 / €505). Customers can also opt for slightly pricier variants: a 16/512GB model in Cyclone and Snowfall for CNY 4499 ($635 / €570), and a 24GB/1TB version in Snowfall for CNY 5599 ($790 / €710).
