Motorola Edge 50 Neo confirmed with MediaTek chipset

Motorola is expected to reveal the Edge 50 Neo next week, but we already have some information about the mid-range device. For example, it is confirmed that the Edge 50 Neo will feature a MediaTek Dimensity 7300 processor.

An online retailer listed the phone prior to its official announcement, revealing some of its specifications in the process. Today, we have new information that confirms the Edge 50 Neo will be powered by a Dimensity 7300 processor.

The phone was recently seen on Geekbench, where the listing disclosed its name, processor, and memory capacity.

The inclusion of the Dimensity 7300 CPU in the Edge 50 Neo is not surprising, given that Motorola has frequently utilized MediaTek’s chipsets recently.

In an unexpected development, a new Motorola ThinkPhone 25 has also appeared on Geekbench. Codenamed “Vienna,” this phone is equipped with the same Dimensity 7300 processor and has the same memory capacity (8GB of RAM), which is somewhat unusual.

It could either be a fake benchmark listing or Motorola intends to release the Edge 50 Neo as a rebranded ThinkPhone in select markets. Regardless, we will discover the truth in less than a week, as Motorola has already announced that it has something to reveal on August 29.
