The Red Magic 9S Pro gaming smartphone by Nubia is set to release on July 3, and there was uncertainty regarding the upgrades it will bring compared to the Red Magic 9 Pro.
Today, the ZTE-owned brand provided the solution by introducing an overclocked Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, featuring a Cortex-X4 core running at 3.4 GHz instead of the standard 3.3 GHz. Additionally, the GPU frequency was boosted by 10% to 1 GHz. Subsequently, the phone was showcased on Geekbench to showcase its impressive processing power.
The new phone, which will feature LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.0 storage, comes as no surprise, as these memory standards were also present in the previous series. Red Magic has announced that the new phone will be “AI-powered,” as is common practice in today’s technology.
Putting aside marketing talk, the Red Magic 9S Pro is expected to maintain the same overall design as the 9 Pro, featuring a flat design on all sides and lacking camera bumps on the back.
