Samsung Galaxy A06 leak hints at minor upgrades

Samsung is preparing for its most crucial event in the second half of the year, but the excitement doesn’t stop there for fans of the phone manufacturer. Several other Galaxy devices are anticipated to launch by the year’s end, including the Galaxy A06.

Samsung Galaxy A06 leak hints at minor upgrades

While the Galaxy A06 may not match the Galaxy Z Fold 6 in terms of features, cheaper phones like the Galaxy A06 have the potential to outsell Samsung’s flagship models. However, it is unlikely that the unannounced Galaxy A06 will achieve this, as the latest leak suggests minimal changes compared to the Galaxy A05.

Recently seen on Geekbench (via MySmartPrice), the Galaxy A06 appears to have the same MediaTek Helio G85 chipset as its predecessor. The score obtained by the phone and listed on Geekbench may not be significant, as it is likely a prototype unit. However, the fact that it shares the same chipset as the Galaxy A05 suggests that there will be no performance improvement.

It is important to mention that the Geekbench listing for the Galaxy A06 confirms that the phone will come with 6GB of RAM, which is another similarity it shares with the Galaxy A05.

Clearly, the Galaxy A06 operates on Android 14, while the Galaxy A05 was released with Android 13. Regrettably, this is the extent of information we have on the Galaxy A06. However, it seems that there will be minimal distinctions between this phone and the Galaxy A05 based on these specifications.

If that assumption is accurate, then we anticipate the Galaxy A06 will include a 6.7-inch HD+ display, a dual camera setup with a 50MP main camera and a 2MP secondary camera, an 8-megapixel front camera, and a substantial 5,000 mAh battery.

Samsung released the Galaxy A05 in September, so it is probable that its successor will be revealed around the same time this year. The price of the Galaxy A06 is expected to be approximately €100 / $110, as it does not offer any improvements from the current model.
