Samsung Galaxy S24 Plus with Android 15 outperforms Android 14 benchmark
Samsung is getting ready to launch the initial Android 15 beta update for the Galaxy S24 series, and a Geekbench test has already revealed that the Samsung Galaxy S24 Plus will come with the latest version of Google’s mobile operating system, which was unveiled at the I/O event in May.
The Samsung Galaxy S24 Plus will likely come with the latest One UI 7.0 overlay, but since this is probably a test model with many kinks and bugs to be fixed, the benchmark may not accurately reflect its polish and efficiency at this early stage of the update process.
However, the Samsung SM-S926B device, which is the internal model number for the middle child of the Samsung Galaxy S24 Plus, achieved a respectable 2114 points in the single-core and 6616 points in the multi-core scores on Geekbench 6.
In comparison, a Samsung Galaxy S24 Plus with the same Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor, but running Android 14, achieved a similar single-core score and slightly underperformed in the multi-core test.
Once again, this is probably an early version of Android 15 beta for the Samsung Galaxy S24, meaning that performance and efficiency are expected to improve as Samsung and Google work on resolving bugs. Android 15 will be officially launched as the flagship series in the fall.
Given its faster and more energy-efficient camera start and app loading times, along with numerous privacy and security features centered around AI-driven advancements, it would be intriguing to observe how Samsung integrates Android 15 into the upcoming One UI 7 update.
