Samsung Galaxy Z Fold
Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold Slim, which is also referred to as the Galaxy Z Fold6 Slim, Galaxy Z Fold Ultra, and Galaxy Z Fold6 Ultra, is expected to be officially named the Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition instead.
This information was shared by renowned leaker Evan Blass, who also disclosed that the device will feature a 6.5-inch outer screen, and an 8-inch inner display, and will measure 4.9mm in thickness when unfolded and 10.6mm when folded.
This will enhance its competitiveness against the Honor Magic V3 and the Xiaomi Mix Fold 4, with the former measuring 4.35mm thick when open and 9.2mm when closed, and the latter at 4.6mm and 9.5mm, respectively.
While Samsung may not match these dimensions, the Fold Special Edition is significantly closer than any previous non-Special Edition Fold, including the latest Z Fold6.
Now for the disappointing news: several earlier rumors indicate that the Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition will only be available in Korea and China. This seems illogical to us as well, so we hope this information proves to be inaccurate.
We’ll have to wait and observe how things unfold. It’s been speculated that the Fold Special Edition is set to launch in Korea in September and in China in October.
