Xiaomi, a Chinese handset maker, is also planning to release new foldable smartphones this month alongside Honor and Samsung. They are expected to introduce two new models, the Xiaomi Mix Fold 4 and Mix Flip, as early as July.

Both Xiaomi smartphones will initially be launched in China, but there are rumors that at least one of them, the Xiaomi Mix Fold 4, will be released internationally by the end of the year. Ice Universe, a reliable leaker, claims that the Xiaomi Mix Fold 4 will be Xiaomi’s first Xiaomi Mix Fold model to launch globally. Additionally, the tipster suggests that the Xiaomi Mix Fold 4 will be the thinnest foldable device available worldwide.

At present, the Magic V2 holds the title of being the world’s slimmest foldable at 9.9mm, but Honor has announced that the forthcoming Magic V3 will be even thinner. Ice Universe predicts that the Xiaomi Mix Fold 4 will also surpass the 10mm threshold.

Previously, there were rumors that the Xiaomi Mix Fold 4,

along with the other two Xiaomi foldables, would only be available in China. However, it seems that the handset manufacturer is now prepared to compete with other brands worldwide.

It is uncertain whether the Mix Flip, the other foldable device planned for launch in China by Xiaomi later this month, will be available internationally. However, according to a previous report, Xiaomi’s clamshell foldable device is expected to be released globally.

In addition to being the world’s thinnest foldable device, rumors suggest that the Xiaomi Mix Fold 4 may also be the first of its kind to have a water resistance rating. According to earlier reports, the Mix Fold 4 is expected to have a quad camera system (50MP + 60MP + 12MP + 10MP) and a sizable 5,000 mAh battery.

If Xiaomi intends to unveil its new foldable phones this month, the Chinese company must announce the event within the next few weeks. Otherwise, the launch may be delayed until August, mirroring the situation with the previous Mix Fold models.
