Tipster Says Apple Should’ve Used 120Hz for iPhone 16

We recently had a brief conversation with prominent tech tipster Abhishek Yadav to gain his insights on Apple’s latest smartphone lineup—the iPhone 16.

But is it truly the best and most advanced?

Yadav, who accurately predicted the release of a titanium version of the Xiaomi 14 Ultra, immediately noted that the new Camera Control Button featured across the iPhone 16 series is quite beneficial.

He believes that competing Android brands will likely adopt this feature, with Realme already preparing to implement it.

Other companies, including Oppo and Nubia, are also working on their versions of the new button.

Yadav shared an intriguing perspective,

suggesting that some enthusiasts of the Pro Max model might opt for the iPhone 16 Pro this year instead of the Pro Max variant.

The reason behind this shift is that the “standard” iPhone 16 Pro has increased in size from 6.1 inches to 6.3 inches. It’s possible that consumers who prefer larger phones will find the 16 Pro’s size, which is nearly as large as the Pro Max, appealing.

Another compelling point is that the iPhone 16 Pro now boasts the same camera setup as the Pro Max. Last year, the iPhone 15 Pro Max had a significant edge over the 15 Pro due to its Tetraprism 5x zoom camera, while the 15 Pro only featured a standard 3x telephoto lens. However,

Yadav expressed his dissatisfaction with one key feature of the iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus: their 60Hz refresh rate displays.

Apple should have opted for a 120Hz display this time, especially since they introduced 120Hz technology four years ago with the iPhone 12 Pro models.

However, he is confident that the iPhone 17 models will feature a 120Hz refresh rate next year. Regarding the fact that the iPhone 16 Pro duo is heavier than the 15 Pro duo, the tipster believes that the increase in weight will not adversely affect the sales of the latest Apple smartphones.
