Lava Blaze 3 5G Offers Few Upgrades Over Previous Model
Lava has introduced another budget-friendly smartphone, the Blaze 3 5G. As its name indicates, this device supports 5G connectivity; however, it is significantly more affordable than the Blaze X, which was launched a few months earlier.
The new Lava Blaze 3 5G can be purchased in India at an introductory price of Rs 10,000 ($120 / €105).
While both the new Blaze X and Blaze 3 5G utilize the same MediaTek Dimensity 6300 chipset, the Blaze X offers slightly superior specifications, justifying its higher price.
Nevertheless, the Blaze 3 5G shares more features with the Blaze 2 5G, a smartphone that Lava released in India over a year ago. In fact, the Blaze 3 5G and Blaze 2 5G have identical specifications, with one exception: the chipset.
As previously noted, the Lava Blaze 3 5G is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 6300 chipset, in contrast to its predecessor, which is equipped with a Dimensity 6020 processor.
Aside from this, the Lava Blaze 3 5G and Blaze 2 5G are essentially identical phones. They share the same display, battery, camera setup, memory capacity, and connectivity options.
While there may be some internal differences, Lava has not specified them, suggesting they are either negligible or nonexistent. Additionally, it’s worth mentioning that the main camera of the new Lava Blaze 3 5G includes a secondary ring light (Vibe Light), whereas the earlier model features only a single ring light.
Additionally, the Lava Blaze 2 5G is available in two configurations: 4/64GB and 6/128 GB. In contrast, the new model offers just one option: 6/128GB (at least for now). Therefore, if you can’t afford the 6/128GB model, there is a more affordable alternative to the Blaze 3 5G.
It is also worth noting that the Lava Blaze 3 5G comes with Android 14 pre-installed, while the Lava Blaze 2 5G is equipped with Android 13.
