Leaked protectors reveal new iPhone 16 Pro, and Pro Max screen sizes

We have known for a while now about the iPhone 16 screen protector.

Apple had plans to increase the screen sizes of the iPhone 16 Pro series. The iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus will retain their 6.1-inch and 6.7-inch screens, respectively. However, the iPhone 16 Pro is anticipated to feature a 6.3-inch display, as opposed to the previous 6.1-inch screen on the Pro model. Additionally, the front glass of the iPhone 16 Pro Max is set to increase by .2 inches to 6.9 inches.

Naturally, Apple has not yet officially disclosed this information, and it is unlikely to do so until its annual iPhone event in early September. According to Ross Young, a highly accurate leaker and the co-founder and CEO of Display Supply Chain Consultants (DSCC), who predicted a 6.9-inch display for the iPhone 16 Pro Max in May 2023, this rumor appears to be very credible.

Young’s previous plan outlined that the iPhone 17 and iPhone 17 Plus would receive screen upgrades to 6.3 inches and 6.9 inches, respectively. However, this was before rumors surfaced about a new iPhone “Slim” model that would be priced higher than the iPhone 17 Pro Max and take the place of the iPhone 17 Plus.

Let’s take a step back. Another leaker, known as Majin Bu on “X,” tweeted today showing four tempered glass screen protectors for the upcoming iPhone 16 models, each with measurements listed. According to the tweet, the displays for the iPhone 16 lineup are expected to be 6.1 inches for the standard model, 6.7 inches for the Plus model, 6.3 inches for the Pro model, and 6.9 inches for the Pro Max model.

While iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max owners can decide for themselves whether they made a mistake by not waiting for the larger screens released this year, you have to feel sorry for iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus owners who will miss out on all of the Apple Intelligence AI features because their phones lack the 2GB of RAM to power Apple Intelligence.
