After some speculation and deliberation, Motorola has finally announced the delayed release of its next foldable phones in July, unveiling the Motorola Razr 50 and Razr 50 Ultra, also known as Razr (2024) and Razr Plus (2024). It has been confirmed that the launch date for the Motorola Razr 50 series has been finalized.

The company has announced on its Weibo account (translated source) that the upcoming Motorola Razr 50 and Razr 50 Ultra foldables will be unveiled in China on June 25, followed by a global release with different variants.
AI has been teased as part of the launch event in 2024, hinting that these foldables will incorporate some AI features. A lot of information about the Razr 50 or Razr (2024) series has already been leaked, including details on space and render images available online.

The Motorola Razr series is known for its sleek, compact, and lightweight design. The upcoming screen will be a real standout, with the buzz being that both the standard and premium models will feature a large cover screen this year, which is fantastic.
However, a recent release has unveiled that the Razr Plus (2024), also known as the Razr 50 Ultra, will come with 68W wireless charging capabilities, making it one of the fastest-charging clamshell devices available.
It is hoped that the premium model will also come with the latest features. On the other hand, rumors suggest that the Motorola Razr 50, or Razr (2024), will be equipped with the MediaTek Dimensity 7300X chip.

It is rumored that both versions of the foldable phone will have the same price: $699 for the standard Razr (2024) and $999 for the high-end Razr Plus (2024). While it may not be a game-changer, it is hoped that the Razr Plus (2024) will come with 12GB RAM and 512GB storage. Both phones are expected to ship with Android 14 outside the box.
If you want to immerse yourself in the world of clamshell foldable displays, the upcoming Razr series could be a fantastic choice.
Why? Because Motorola is stepping up its game in the flip phone market with some enticing features. We’re talking about a sleek design,
a full-screen front display, a crease-free main display, a capable camera system, and excellent extras like fast charging – all in a package where Samsung’s Galaxy Z Flip series falls short.
